Solutions to Change Offline Status to Online in Printer

Restart the Printer and Check the Connections

⦁ If you checked your printer a few days back and it was online but is now showing offline status then it can easily be fixed by restarting the printer. Simply turn it off, wait for a minute, and then a plugin. 

⦁ Another thing that you need to check is the printer connections. One of the most common reasons why a printer offline issue occurs is because of connection failure. Also, check the ethernet cable connections.

Check the Printer Status

⦁ Click on the Start button and then open Devices and Printers.

⦁ Here choose the printer that is showing the offline status.

⦁ Now, in the Print Queue and check the printer offline status. Now, you need to select the option that says this will change the printer is line status.

⦁ This will change the offline status to online. But, in some cases, you may also have to remove the print queue.

Uninstall and Reinstall the Printer

⦁ Go to Devices and Printers > Printers and Scanners > Remove Device. 

⦁ Plugin the printer. Now, you can install the printer by adding the drivers. 


Run the Printer Troubleshooter

The printer troubleshooter is a Windows troubleshooting solution that helps in finding the problem and then eliminating it. 

⦁ Go to the Settings > Update and Security > Troubleshoot. 

⦁ Once the troubleshooter runs the program will scan and find the problem and the solution to fix it.
